The Doylestown Sports Medicine Center's Strength & Conditioning Program can assist YOU in achieving your health and wellness goals.
Have you or someone that you know ever started a gym or exercise program just to end up in eight to twelve weeks with pain and injury. There you sit sidelined from exercise in pain watching all the gains from your hard work and all the time you put in wasted. Doylestown Sports Medicine Center has developed our strength & conditioning program out of the demand of our clients. You spoke and we listened. This program is custom tailored to meet your individual strength and conditioning goals interwoven with our system of stability first and proper biomechanics. This program is perfect for:
• Assisting individuals who want to start a strength program, but are unsure of how to safely do so.
• Assisting individuals who are unsure of what proper form (biomechanics) is with weight lifting and other exercise.
• Assisting individuals looking to gain a better knowledge of proper lifting form so they can obtain there goals faster and safer.
• Assisting the injured individual in returning to their pre-injury level at the gym.
• Assisting individuals who have tried yoga, pilates, cross fit, bootcamps, weight training, but just can't achieve their goals because they always end up hurting.
• Assisting individuals who want to start a strength program, but are unsure of how to safely do so.

How it Works!
The Evaluation:• DSMC's program begins with a complete neuromusculoskeletal physical therapy evaluation. The evaluation assesses the specific neuromuscular requirements of for your exercise program. Got kinks in your armor? Lets sort out what and where they are!
• A comprehensive review of patient history and training history is completed. • Assessment of range of motion, strength, flexibility and stability required of the body to exercise efficiently and effectively are assessed. |
The Plan:• From the evaluation an individualized program is developed with the individual based upon their specific needs and goals.
• Need to Learn How To:

The Treatment:• Deficits in posture, range of motion, strength, joint mobility/stability and core stability are addressed through physical therapy interventions to restore the neuromuscular and biomechanical requirements for your exercise.
• A systematic and progressive integration of your exercise program with sound stability and biomechanics. The program allows for the moderation of mechanical stress loaded into the body. |
Free Community Workshop:
"Posture: Pain & Performance"
The workshop is geared to any individual that deals with pain, is concerned with how sitting and standing posture can affect performance in life and athletics. Who will benefit from attending this workshop? Individuals with:

The workshop is as interactive as you want it to be. We will covering how to achieve balanced sitting and standing posture and its effects on pain and the performance of daily activity, as well as, athletic performance. Our goal is by the end of the workshop you will have gained an understanding of how sitting and standing posture can affect both pain and performance. Workshops will be held at Doylestown Sports Medicine Center periodically throughout the year. Class sizes are limited.
